About Me
I didnโt take a straight path to tech, and sabes que, thatโs my biggest ๐๐ฝโโ๏ธadvantage.
I grew up in Cuenca, Ecuador ๐บ๏ธ before my family moved to New Jersey, and somehow ended up at West Point, then MIT, then Microsoft. Along the way Iโve worked at NASA through an internship, led ๐ชsoldiers in the US Army from Korea to Texas, published ML research on disaster response, and now I help enterprise companies implement frontier ๐พAI at scale.
At MIT, I studied how technology actually gets used by real people in crisis, travelling to Puerto Rico in response of the 2019 hurricanes, and applying those lessons to product design and machine learning applications. At the Department of Defense, I ran analytical studies that shaped decisions at the highest levels of national security (nothing I can share publically, but the stakes were real). Now at Microsoft, I work with major enterprises, including heavily regulated financial institutions, to move from AI curiosity to AI implementation, responsibly and at scale.
Outside of work, I write about whatโs actually happening in AI, on my ๐ Medium page. I also research bias detection in algorithms and work on STEM outreach programs for the next generation through organizations like Women in Technology and Rosie Riveters.
My background spans military operations research, policy, applied machine learning, and enterprise AI architecture. Across all of it, my ๐ฆธ๐ฝโโ๏ธ superpower is the same: designing for human judgment under uncertainty, helping people and organizations make better decisions when the answers arenโt obvious.
Si se puede.
